Traditionally, PVC heat shrink tubing is not available with an adhesive lining. Engineers and assemblers have had to use hot melt glue guns and messy two-part epoxies to waterproof PVC heat shrink tubing. With a thickness up to 1/3 the thickness of the adhesive layer in adhesive lined heat shrink, you can have a true thin walled adhesive lined heat shrink. Just simply wrap our adhesive lined heat shrinkable tape around your wire in an overlapping spiral fashion, like you would normal electrical tape. Slide your heat shirnk tubing over the wire and shrink the tubing using our economical VT-1100 shrink wrap heat gun. The adhesive will melt when the heat is applied, and solidify when cooled. Now you have a waterproof seal! The minimum melting point of the hot melt adhesive is 95°C (204°F).
